Privacy policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Armaku collects when you visit armaku.com or buy from us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Armaku Pte. Ltd. (Singapore UEN 202408170W), 68 Circular Road, #02-01, Singapore 049422 ("Armaku", "we", "us"). We sell royalty-free sample packs and music production tools online through our Shopify store at https://armaku.com.

For any privacy question or request, email contact@armaku.com. This address also reaches our Data Protection Officer.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Your name and email address
  • Your billing address and country
  • Your orders, including what you bought, when, and how much you paid
  • Messages you send us, and answers you give in surveys or forms
  • Your email and marketing preferences

We do not see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by Shopify and the payment providers shown at checkout, under their own privacy policies.

Information collected automatically

When you use our site, we and our service providers collect some information through cookies and similar tools. This includes your IP address, rough location (country or city), browser and device type, pages you view, products you look at, items added to your cart, the site that sent you to us, and the date and time of your visit.

Information from other companies

Advertising and analytics partners, such as Google and Meta, may give us reports about how our ads and website perform. These reports are usually grouped and do not name you.

3. How we use your information

  • To process your order and give you access to your downloads
  • To send order confirmations, receipts and important account or policy updates
  • To answer your questions and give support
  • To send you newsletters and offers, if you have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email
  • To show you relevant Armaku ads on other websites and social media, and to measure how well our ads work
  • To understand how people use our site so we can improve it
  • To prevent fraud and keep our store secure
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting duties

4. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar tools for three reasons:

  • To make the store work. For example, to keep items in your cart and run checkout. These are always on.
  • Analytics. For example, Google Analytics and Shopify analytics, to see how the site is used.
  • Marketing. For example, the Meta Pixel and Google Ads, to show and measure our ads.

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before using analytics and marketing cookies, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Where required by law, we honour Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.

5. Who we share your information with

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers who run our business for us, under contracts that limit how they can use your information. These include Shopify (our store, checkout and hosting), our payment providers, our email providers (Klaviyo and Shopify Email), Google (analytics, advertising and tag management) and Meta (advertising).
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountants and lawyers, when needed.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
  • A new owner, if Armaku or its assets are sold or merged. Your information would remain protected by this policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some US state laws treat using advertising cookies, like the Meta Pixel, as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out of this by refusing marketing cookies, by using Global Privacy Control, or by emailing us.

6. International transfers

We are based in Singapore. Our service providers may store and process your information in other countries, including the United States. When we transfer information abroad, we make sure it is protected to a standard comparable to Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act and, where they apply, the GDPR and UK GDPR, for example through standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep your information

  • Order and payment records: at least five years, as Singapore law requires for business records.
  • Marketing email data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • Support messages: as long as needed to help you, and then for a reasonable time afterwards.

When we no longer need your information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. How we protect your information

We use reasonable security measures, and our store runs on Shopify's secure platform with encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act quickly if a problem occurs.

9. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • Correct information that is wrong
  • Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law (for example, order records)
  • Stop sending you marketing
  • Withdraw any consent you have given

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights:

  • Singapore: your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, including access and correction.
  • European Union, United Kingdom and Switzerland: you can also object to or restrict how we use your information, and ask to move it to another provider. We rely on these legal bases: to perform our contract with you (your order), your consent (for example marketing emails and cookies), our legitimate interests (for example improving our site and preventing fraud), and legal duties (for example tax records). You can complain to your local data protection authority.
  • California and other US states with privacy laws: you can ask to know, correct or delete your information, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information and targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. You can use an authorised agent to make a request for you, and we may ask for proof that they are authorised.

To make any request, email contact@armaku.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to reply within 30 days.

10. Children

Our store is not meant for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top, and if the change is important we will tell you on our website or by email.
